·        In case you missed it last week R.A. Dickey won the N.L. CY Young Award for his efforts in the past season!
·        According to ESPN New York’s Adam Rubin the Mets have come to terms with minor league outfielder Jaime Hoffman.
·        According to the team’s website the Mets have also come to terms with left handed relief pitcher Scott and right handed relief pitcher Carlos Torres both are minor league deals with an invite to spring training.
·        According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York the Mets pitcher and catchers will report to camp Feb. 15 while the rest of the position players will follow on the 18th.
·        Lastly, still no progress in the Wright or Dickey contract extension talks.
·        Also check out Fox Sports website and look for Ken Rosenthal’s article titled “It’s time for the Mets to Reinvest” as this is an awesome piece by Rosenthal.  Also, check out Matthew Cerrone’s take on Rosenthal’s article at metsblog.com as he presents some valid opposition to some of Rosenthal’s points.
