Zack Greinke & how it affects the Mets & Dickey

Andy Martino of the New York Daily News is reporting that the LA Dodgers are closing in on a 6 year 145 Million dollar deal with Zack Greinke. This will certainly effect the trade market and situation with RA Dickey. If the Dodgers do end up acquiring Greinke's services, the Texas Rangers will be in the market for a top pitcher enter RA Dickey. It has been said that Mets GM Alderson will only move Dickey for a difference maker. Thus far he has gotten no such offer for one. However, it is rumored that the Rangers would offer that difference maker in a deal in corner infielder Mike Olt. Olt would fit the mold for what the Mets are looking for a right handed power bat that can play the corner OF spots (he did in the minors). He is indeed a difference maker. The interesting thing to watch if this does go down is how the Blue Jays and Royals react. If the rumored deal with Greinke happens and the Rangers offer Olt would the Royals up their offer and include OF prospect Myers or would Jays then include catching prospect D'Arnaud. Anyway you slice a bidding war for Dickey would only benefit the Mets in the end if they decide to move him.
