New York Mets Update:

      Opening Day is tomorrow as the New York Mets will open the season against the San Diego Padres at 1:10 Pm as Jon Niese will take the hill for the Mets against the Padres Edison Volquez.

        Both David Wright and Daniel Murphy will be in the lineup tomorrow avoiding the DL.

        Terry Collins has named his starting OF:  LF- Lucas Duda, CF- Collin Cowgill, and RF- Marlon Byrd.

·        It looks like Justin Turner will stay off the DL and make the Opening Day Roster.

·        Both Zack Wheeler and Travis d’Arnaud will start the year in Triple- A Las Vegas.

·        Johan Santana will undergo season ending shoulder surgery this Tuesday Jeremy Hefner will replace him in the rotation.

·        Shaun Marcum looks like he will be heading to the 15 day DL.

·        Jon Niese was named the Opening Day Starter.

·        Zack Wheeler and another prospect were involved in a minor dispute after Wheeler plunked the prospect the at bat after a prolonged HR Celebration.
