It is no secret that Scott Hairston was the Mets most productive outfielder last year with that being said it has been hard for him to find a team that will meet his contract demands while also meeting his demands for playing time, Hairston who hit .263 with 20 homers with 25 doubles and 57 RBIs in 377 at bats last year with the Mets is seeking a 2 year deal worth about 8 million dollars.

According to Mike Puma of The New York Post the Mets have reportedly offered Hairston a 1 year deal worth about 2 million dollars

According to Puma the Mets held a private workout for former San Francisco Giants closed Brian Wilson earlier this week but were reportedly not sold on giving him a major league contract. The 30 year old Wilson is currently recovering from Tommy John Surgery and although the Mets are interested in bringing him in on a minor league deal they will likely explore other options for the bullpen.
