The NY Jets should trade down in the 2012 NFL Draft.
They hold the 16th pick which is worth some teams trading up for. The best scenario would be the Houston Texans. The Texans could insure either landing Michael Floyd or Kendall Wright by doing this trade. Both may be gone by 26. In exchange, the Texans would trade the 26th pick and their 2nd round pick to the Jets in exchange for pick 16. This is a trade Tanny should be exploring. Arguably, the 2nd round is full of 1st round talent. Both teams would benefit.
Let's go a step further. The Jets should then trade the 26th pick for another 2nd and a 3rd. Oakland, Indy, Cleveland and Minnesota may be candidates.
This would leave the NY Jets with (3) three 2nd round picks and (2) two 3rd round picks.
I would do this in a heartbeat if presented.
