The
New York Jets have claimed nose tackle Isaako Aaitui and wide
receiver Clyde Gates from Miami and tight end Konrad Reuland from San
Francisco and have waived safety Antonio Allen, defensive tackle
Marcus Dixon and tight end Dedrick Epps. The team has also signed
seven players to their practice squad. The announcements were made by
general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Aaitui
(6'4", 315) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with
Miami on Oct. 4, 2011, as a member of the Dolphins practice squad,
where he spent the final 13 weeks of the season. He spent this past
training camp with the Dolphins prior to being waived on Friday.
Gates
(5'11", 197), a former fourth-round draft pick by Miami in 2011,
caught two passes last season for 19 yards and returned 34 kickoffs
for 843 yards (24.3 average). He spent training camp with the
Dolphins prior to being waived on Friday.
Reuland
(6'4", 260) was signed as an undrafted free agent by San
Francisco on July 27, 2011. He was waived Sept. 3 by the 49ers
following training camp, then was added to their practice squad the
next day and spent all 17 weeks of the regular season there. In two
seasons at Stanford, Reuland appeared in 26 games (nine starts) after
spending two seasons (2006-07) at Notre Dame and was named an
All-Pac-10 honorable mention selection as a senior in 2010.
